French DJ David Guetta has been named the best DJ in the world for the second year in a row. He is in the top 100 of British magazine DJ Mag. Belgian DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike are in fifth place.
Congratulations David Guetta!
David Guetta is again the best DJ in the world, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike fifth
This year, the Frenchman David Guetta (53) will walk with the honorary title. It is already the second year in a row that he has won, and in 2011 he also clinched first place. Guetta thus joins the selection of Dutchmen that have already won the competition three times: Martin Garrix, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren.
David Guetta released his first album “Just a little more love” in 2002, which featured hits like “Just a little more love” and “Love don’t let me go” . Since then, he has grown into one of the most famous DJs and producers in the world. He collaborated with artists such as Kelly Rowland ( “When Love Takes Over” ), Sia ( “Titanium” ), The Black Eyed Peas ( “I gotta feel” ) and Akon ( “Sexy bitch” ).
The French DJ is delighted with his third win. “Fantastic, I’m so happy,” he tweeted. “Winning twice in a row is pretty crazy. I’ve been doing this for so long. I hope being number 1 after all these years is an inspiration to kids who played DJ in their bedroom like me.”
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
The top three is completed with Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren . The Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike is in fifth place. The brothers from Willebroek have been staying in the highest regions of DJ land for years. Last year they were second, in 2015 they were in first place.
We find other Belgian DJs in the top 100 of DJ MAG, such as Charlotte De white (23), Lost Frequencies (25), Amelie Lens (44) and MATTN (Anouk Maton, Dimitri Vegas’ wife, ed.) (67).
